Friday - We headed west from Alberobello to experience more of the countryside including Noci, Gioia del Colle, then up to Conversano and Rutigliano before heading back into Bari. Each town has a definite personality, not only in geography but its construction and its inhabitants. I wish we could have sampled food in every on of them. The countryside is just beautiful and the folks the friendliest you'll find. Stop for directions and you'll get 15 minutes of details along with family information, occupation, and plenty of the local history.
Thursday - I think we covered every bit of the countryside, driving from Alberobello to Taranto then through Sava to Manduria and back up through Locorotondo back to the trullo.
