Wine of the Week!
Ch. Ste. Michelle 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon $26
Do you like the dark fruity taste of Cabernet Sauvignon and wine that’s richly flavored and concentrated? Our pick for Wine of the Week is just that. It’s Chateau Ste. Michelle 2003 Cold Creek Cabernet Sauvignon .
It seems we always find our way back to the wine from their Cold Creek vineyard in Washington’s Columbia Valley. It’s warm growing area that bakes flavor into the grapes. But cool nights give the grapes the time they need to ripen with balanced sugars and acidity.
Our wine of the week has the dense black cherry and plum you’d expect from one hundred percent Cabernet, along with proud structure and easy drink ability. Then there’s a little hint of spice from the barrel aging.
This is a wine that has a smooth feel in your mouth and none of the tartness of many younger Cabernets…perfect for a steak dinner.
Chateau Ste. Michelle 2003 Cold Creek Cabernet; about twenty six dollars and our wine of the weekSo if you’ve got a steak on the menu head for the wine shop!
