Classic
Shrimp Scampi
The Wine Experience Wine Recommendation: Sauvignon Blanc
Serves 6
Ingredients:
2
pounds jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
4
tbs butter
2
tbs minced fresh garlic
½
cup dry white wine
¼
cup fresh lemon juice
2
tbs chopped parsley
salt and pepper
Preparation:
Heat a large skillet and melt butter.
W hen butter is melted turn up to high. Added shrimp evenly around
skillet. Salt and pepper. Cook one minute. Turn shrimp over and
garlic and cook two more minutes. Then remove shrimp from the skillet
and set aside. Add wine and lemon juice and cook off for about one
minute. Deglaze skillet (scrape off bottom and sides) then stir
in the parsley. Remove from heat. Pour sauce over shrimp and toss
to cover. Serve alone or over you favorite pasta.
