When it comes to wine California
is surely blessed by Mother Nature. So let's wander south of the
Bay Area to the Monterey Peninsula.
From sea lions playing in Monterey
Bay to soaring pines and redwoods in Big Sur, It's an incredible
collection of natural beauty and man made attractions. Complete
with some terrific wine experiences too!
The cool, foggy ocean climate along
the coastline is channeled into and through the Salinas Valley
making it both windy and cool, especially in the north so the
microclimates nurture a wide variety of grapes.
From pinot noir and chardonnay that
like the chill to cabernets that like more hang time to ripen,
they're all in Monterey. You won't find a big number of wineries
but plenty for tasting in between gallery visits, beach walks,
nature trails or maybe your tee time.
Monterey is wine country plus a great
getaway to renew and rejuvenate your spirit along with your wine
experiences.
Pop the cork™.
