We all love finding terrific wine at a good price.   And that's why we're talking about Chilean wine right now.  

Chile has a centuries old wine making culture but has just recently burst upon the world scene.    With mostly Cabernet, Merlot, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc Chile is mainstream in the wine shop.   You'll find these are typically great everyday, drink 'em now bottles...well made and tasty.  

Chilean vineyards are nestled between the towering Andes and the mountains ranging along the Pacific coast.   They get plenty of sun but the cool mountain influence keeps them protected from overheating.   The Maipo and Colchagua are two growing areas to look for on the label.  

These wines are classic new world style with easy drinkability and lots of fruitiness.
