Judy’s
Wine and Cheese
Don’t
you just love nibbling different cheeses and sipping wine?
We had a chance to talk with author Judy Gilliard to help us uncover
some favorite wine and cheese match-ups.
“Well,
that’s my favorite – a loaf of bread, a bottle of wine,
and some cheese, and thou – and what is really nice about
wine and cheese is that you can make it romantic by having a picnic
or sitting by the fireplace or you can have a large group of friends
with several areas that you can have your guests mingle while they’re
trying different marriages of cheese and wines,
Here
are a few of my favorite wine and cheese pairings: A blue
cheese like a good maytag or gorgonzola with a tawny port or sherry.
A boursin with gewurtztraminer, brie or goat cheese with champagne,
gruyere with chardonnay, a sharp cheddar with a good Bordeaux or
cabernet, gouda with sauvignon blanc, fresh mozzarella or feta with
Beaujolais.
Again,
whatever the event is, a good wine and cheese pairing always makes
it better.
Thanks,
Judy!
