Comfort Food
Comfort food! You know, those great
dishes Mom always made on winter Sundays. Yum.
Well why let a good thing go? Let's
make it even better and jazz it up a bit with some good wine.
Meat loaf is the probably the ultimate
comfort food. There are lots of ways to make a meat loaf but whether
it's beef, pork, veal, or even turkey, there's one wine that covers
em all - zinfandel. With jammy fruit and a hint of spice it's meat
loaf friendly regardless of the preparation.
Pot roast is a great American meal
too. Slow cooked and simmering for hours, it lets us anticipate
soft and lush Merlot from California or Washington .
And when's the last time you had roast
beef? Well preheat the oven! The tender juiciness of roast beef
is not only easy, it's delicious, especially when you sip a Cabernet
Sauvignon with it.
Winter Sundays, comfort foods and the
jazzy flavor of a favorite wine.
Pop the cork™.
