Grilling Season Begin

Well it's here!  The official opening weekend of grilling season!

It's fun to grill all year, but there's something about Memorial Day that says, "Let's start summer!" And to that we say let's get the reds out and start grilling.

Red wines are a natural for lots of grilled food favorites. When you char a strip steak a really great choice is Cabernet Sauvignon . . . there's no better match.

But with burgers, speak Australian and try Shiraz with its peppery spiciness.

Of course, when you're slow-roasting that whole chicken on the grill you should be all over Merlot. But our grilling favorite is barbecue . . . smoky, woodsy, tangy barbecue ribs.  So we use one hand to baste the ribs and the other wrapped around a glass of Zinfandel!  What a wickedly good combo!

Lamb kabobs, turkey burgers, sausages . . . even salmon . . . pick your favorites. Then get the reds out and fire up the grill . . .

Welcome to grilling season!
