Low Carb Wine
Are you one of the millions of people
who are eating lighter and counting your carbs? Well, we've
got good news for you!
You can keep wine on the list as part
of the low carb diet you're following.
In dry table wine the fermentation
removes the sugars from the grape juice; so what's left is alcohol,
about ten to fifteen percent. Alcohol is carb-like but it ranges
from less than 1 to about 2 grams per three and a half
ounce serving.
But now there are wines that are coming
to the market which are specifically sold to help you keep track
of your carb intake with less than two grams per five
ounce serving.
There's been much reported on the potential
health benefits of moderate wine consumption and the good news on
carbohydrates means that you don't have to give up the pleasure
of wine even as you eat healthier and trim up.
Wine can be the tasty added ingredient
that puts an exclamation point on lighter style meals.
