Wonder why it is that people get so intimidated with the prospect of choosing wine?  

Sure that old fashioned snootiness of "wine connoisseurs" has a lot to do with it but there's a really pragmatic reason:    

There are just more darn choices out there then we can comprehend!  

We did the math:

Every year the world produces more than 7 Billion gallons of wine which is the equivalent of 35 billion bottles.   Talk about having choices!
