Summer Whites
Summer time is a favorite time for
cool white wines. Here's some further thinking from Gourmet Magazine
Wine Consultant Michael Green:
"I generally like to drink wine
in the summer outdoors when the weather is great. So I try to
avoid wines that are really high in alcohol.
So I think the Mosul
area of Germany or the Marlborough
region of New Zealand. These wines are generally
crisp, more modest in alcohol, and I also like wines that have a
touch of residual sugar for the summer. So I'll look to wines
whether it be white Zinfandel, German Riesling or a very fruit forward
Sauvignon Blanc for whites."
Grab a bottle and . . .
Pop the cork™.
