Wine of the Week!
Terrazas de Los Andes Malbec 2006 $10

This week, Ken has a great value wine of the week selection. It’s Terrazas de Los Andes 2006 Malbec from Argentina.
This Malbec is brightly flavored and cheerfully fruity, with flavors like ripe berries and cherries mixed together but with the added richness of a purple plum.
Terrazas Malbec is medium bodied and easy drinking. It’s a red for any day enjoyment, without any tight tasting tannins or bitterness. Yet along with the dark fruit is a peppery quality that tells me to bring on the grill and fire it up.
You want to say beef!? Sure, but you’ll love this Malbec with a turkey burger too – in fact, just about anything off the grill.
The Terrazas Malbec is quintessential Argentina – truly delicious and affordable, well made and clean tasting and only about ten bucks. You just have to try this wine to be a believer, and our wine of the week is pretty easy to find too…
Terrazas Malbec… it’s the everyday value red for any week.

Winemakers Notes and Comments:
Color: Deep crimson with sharp candy red highlights
Aroma: Upon swirling, jazzy notes of blackberries and sour cherries develop into fine traces of smoke and spices.
Palate: Bright and generous, a lively mouthful of ripened plums and boysenberry, with chewy tannins and a violet scent building up to a refreshing finish.

Recommendations, Picks, and Wines of the Week
Notes
on our Wines of the Week, Recommendations, and Picks:
When you read our thoughts,
please remember that you may think differently. A particular wine
may be your favorite and not on our list. Well, don't stop buying
it because of that. In fact, you may want to email
us and let us know about it. These are our opinions but our
FIRST recommendation is to go by your own palate.
A couple of other thoughts . . . first, prices
are approximate. They'll vary. Second, different vintages mean
different grapes and different tastes so our recommendation for
a 2000 Merlot may not hold for 2001.
And lastly, we remind you to drink responsibly!
Now, all that said, here is a summary of links to our suggestions.
